Large free parking near the heritage railway and leisure lake, with children's play areas. Public toilets nearby, water and waste disposal available but sometimes shut in winter. Flat, shaded terrain. Limited to vehicles under 3.5 tonnes. Good base for exploring the town centre. Generally peaceful but can experience rowdy evening gatherings and noise from speeding cars on certain nights.
