The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Small shaded spot under pine trees set back from the D60, accommodating 4-5 campers on flat ground but with a bumpy track. Quiet from evening despite nearby road (200m). Possibility to move toward ruins for more sun. Avoid if low-clearance vehicle or concerned about tree stumps.
Highlights
- Natural shade under pine trees
- Quiet in the evenings
- Abundant dead wood for wood stoves
- Sufficient space a little further away
Good to know
- Access and track very bumpy with risk of scraping
- Tree stumps barely visible
- Not suitable for low-slung vehicles
- Road noise audible in the late afternoon
Motorhome access : Uneven, bumpy track with narrow passages between stumps. Not recommended for low or sensitive vehicles. Maneuvering possible but tricky.
