The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Beautiful natural spot along the Tardoire river, nestled against a climbing rock. Access via narrow dirt track suitable for small vans and compact motorhomes. Two variants: near the campsite (more space, busier) or near Empeyrat (shaded, quieter). Room for 1-2 vehicles only. Direct river access, very peaceful, but narrow terrain and hazardous in bad weather. Low bridge to avoid from some approaches.
Highlights
- Very peaceful spot surrounded by nature
- Direct access to the water with swimming possible
- Soothing atmosphere with the sound of the river
- Kind owner
Good to know
- Narrow access road with difficult sections depending on approach.
- Unusable and muddy after rain
- Very limited: only 1–2 vehicles
- Low bridge on some routes (risk for vans over 2 m)
Motorhome access : Narrow, steep dirt track, very passable for small vans and campervans but access varies: easier from the camping side, with pronounced speed bumps from Empeyrat. Difficult maneuvering, impossible to turn around on some sections. Watch out for the low wooden bridge (height under 2 m) depending on approach from Bussière-Badil.
