The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Waterside spot on the Rhône with access through railway tunnels (2.80 m or 3.10 m clearance). Spacious, flat, gravelly surface, scenic views of water and hills. Good for picnics or overnight stops. Access to greenway. No services. Main drawback: regular train horns and bridge traffic noise affecting sleep quality for some visitors, though others found it acceptable.
Highlights
- Beautiful waterside setting with unobstructed views
- Large, flat space for parking
- Access to the Rhône greenway for walks
Good to know
- Train horns and road bridge noises, varies by sensitivity
- 2.8m height limit (GPS tunnel) restrictive for large campervans
- Water not drinkable, questionable quality for swimming
Motorhome access : Access via a railway tunnel (GPS: 2.8m or 3.1m at 100m); stony but passable terrain; possible maneuvering but tight depending on vehicle size; narrow bridge on alternative route.
