The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Scenic spot alongside a turquoise river, perfect for swimming (mind the current). Gravel track access is manageable, but the narrow village route via Les Pilles is tight for larger vehicles—use the Aubres road instead. Moderate road noise audible. Little shade, relatively flat terrain with some potholes. Easy river access. Better suited to smaller vehicles.
Highlights
- Turquoise river nearby, great for swimming
- Overall quiet and restful despite the nearby road
- Gravel track suitable for small/medium vans
Good to know
- Narrow access through Pilles village: not recommended for motorhomes over 6m.
- Road noise and proximity to a factory audible in the morning
- No shade, potholes on the track, unpredictable rough passages
Motorhome access : Access via a drivable gravel track (prefer the D607 route). Village via Les Pilles too narrow for motorhomes over 6-7m. Slightly uneven terrain with critical points (cm-level clearance mentioned).
