The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Summit landing site (900m+) reached via 7.5 km rough track from Cazilhac. Stunning panoramic views over Buèges valley, Vis, sea and Pyrenees. Very quiet on weekdays, variable paraglider and party activity. Tricky but passable access for vans/small motorhomes. Antennas present (radiation, noise noted).
Highlights
- Breathtaking 360° panoramic view (sea and Pyrenees visible)
- Extreme tranquility during weekdays
- Flat with plenty of available spaces
- Reliable internet thanks to local antennas
Good to know
- Long access (7.5 km) over rough gravel track, not recommended in wet conditions
- Cell towers nearby (potential noise and health concerns)
- Unpredictable weekend party crowds (raves mentioned)
- Very little shade, exposed to wind
Motorhome access : Long, gravelly dirt track, easy to maneuver at the top. Not recommended in bad weather. Accessible for vans and small motorhomes at low speed, tricky for large vehicles.
