The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Exceptional natural riverside site, very quiet and remote. Access via rough dirt track: short wheelbase vehicles and experienced drivers only, not recommended for large motorhomes. Flat terrain with shaded pitches. Swimming possible but caution near hydroelectric dam. Occasional fishermen and daytime boats. Seasonal restrictions possible.
Highlights
- Exceptionally peaceful and very remote
- Stunning natural setting by the river
- Several flat and shaded pitches
- First half of the path accessible for standard vehicles
Good to know
- Very difficult access: rough dirt track with deep potholes
- Not suitable for long or hard-to-manoeuvre motorhomes
- Swimming not recommended (hydroelectric dam, cold water)
- Seasonal prefectural decrees may restrict access
Motorhome access : Very damaged and narrow dirt track with ruts. Not recommended for long vehicles. The first half is passable with 6 m vans, but the last third requires caution (low ground clearance). Difficult or impossible U-turn at the end. Recommended spots midway rather than at the terminus.
