QuietAtmosphere
The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Forest picnic area beside a small lake, shaded and spacious with tables, barbecue and bins. Easy access via paved road. Very quiet on weekdays and low season, busier summer weekends. Nearby hiking trails (Saut de Vesoles, Lac de Vezoles). Main drawback: significant tick presence. Recent access restrictions (posts) have reduced parking capacity.
Highlights
- Dense shade that stays cool even during heatwaves
- Very large and quiet area at night
- Free barbecue and picnic tables
- Very easy and passable access.
Good to know
- Ticks are common, especially near the water
- Recent access limits (posts restrict to 1-2 spots)
- Poor toilet paper management, cleanliness varies
Motorhome access : Easy access via a paved road, flat terrain. Recently restricted by posts: now only fits 1-2 campervans. Check current conditions. Motorhomes up to 7.50 m confirmed before restrictions.
