The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Shaded mountain lake below Mont-Blanc with picnic tables and flat parking spots. Narrow, rough access better suited to vans. Busy during day (quarry, rafting operations, trains) but quieter at night. Stunning views, 6-7 spaces, heavily used. Swimming prohibited.
Highlights
- Stunning views of Mont Blanc and the Alps
- Shaded with picnic tables
- Flat pitches with possible quiet nights
Good to know
- Narrow, rough, and degraded access unsuitable for large motorhomes
- Very busy and noisy during the day (quarry, train, outdoor activities)
- Risk of a police fine and neighbor complaints
Motorhome access : Narrow and very bumpy access (potholes, ruts), steep over the last few meters. Tricky in a motorhome, especially if spots are full. Recommended for vans and small campervans. Allée limited to 3.5 tons.
