The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Small free parking on disused railway, 4-6 long pitches. Flat gravel surface. Very quiet despite nearby road. Ideal base for exploring Lapidiales sculptures (1 km walk), charming village and Charente water sports base (kayak, paddle, swimming). Bakery and shops nearby. No services (water, electricity, waste). Narrow access, large motorhomes not recommended.
Highlights
- Very peaceful and relaxing despite being close to the road
- Perfect location for visits (Lapidiales, harbor, village, water activities)
- Flat, well-maintained gravel surface.
- Free, well-managed municipal parking
Good to know
- No services: no water, electricity, dump station, or toilets
- Narrow access, very tight spaces, large motorhomes impossible
- Actual spots: 4 max instead of the advertised 6
- Difficult maneuvering for long motorhomes (7 m)
Motorhome access : Flat gravel-covered site, suitable, but the entrance is very narrow and spots are tight. Tricky maneuvering for long motorhomes (7m+). Not recommended for large motorhomes. Great for small vans and campervans
