Mountain pass at 1600 m elevation in pristine wilderness. Small flat tarmac parking near a refuge, very quiet with minimal traffic. Narrow winding access road with tight hairpins (not recommended for vehicles over 6 m). Outstanding viewpoint at Mont Colombis 1 km uphill on foot, panoramic views over Lake Serre-Ponçon. No services. Magical spot suited only to compact vehicles.

Motorhome access : Very narrow and winding access with a steep slope and sharp hairpins. Passable with motorhomes up to 6 m max; not recommended beyond that. Difficult crossings in some spots. Small flat hardstanding parking once arrived. Arriving late recommended to avoid traffic.
