The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Natural site around community ponds, remote and very quiet, perfect for a peaceful stop. Access via stable gravel track but muddy terrain in wet weather (bogging risks). Multiple dispersed pitches, bucolic landscape with wildlife (deer, kingfisher). No facilities. Minimal road noise (N4 distant).
Highlights
- Extremely quiet and secluded
- Peaceful countryside and natural setting
- Lots of spots and easy access when dry
Good to know
- Access is difficult in damp or rainy conditions (risk of getting stuck)
- No services (water, toilets, electricity)
- Unstable ground outside gravel paths
Motorhome access : Gravel path stable when dry but very muddy after rain; frequent bogging risks off-road. Several visitors required towing. Avoid in wet conditions. Easy access for well-maintained small campervans in dry periods.
