QuietAtmosphere
The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Small paved parking on the Charente riverbank at Cabariot, along the Vélodyssée cycle route. Very calm, nature-focused setting perfect for cyclists and hikers. Access via narrow, semi-paved road challenging for large motorhomes. Picnic tables and bins available. No facilities. Peaceful atmosphere, but road access is poor.

Motorhome access : Very narrow, rutted, and humped access road with potholes. Narrow level crossing after Cabariot. Better suited for camper vans and vans than large motorhomes. Access is laborious but possible at a crawl.
