QuietAtmosphere
The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Natural spot along a canal with multiple parking areas spread out for privacy. Dirt path with slightly sloped terrain, some level pitches available. Very quiet at night despite occasional morning vehicle traffic and anglers. No facilities. Perfect for nature lovers and peaceful nights, but tricky access for large motorhomes. Site cleanliness needs attention.
Highlights
- Very quiet at night, only a few fishermen and cars in the morning
- Many pitches are well spaced, offering privacy and seclusion
- Idyllic waterside setting with local wildlife (frogs, birds)
- Suitable for small converted vans and vans.
Good to know
- Tight maneuvering for large vehicles, narrow road with no easy U-turn
- Slopey terrain, few truly flat spots
- No services (no bins, water, or electricity)
- Cleanliness suffers due to some campers (toilet paper, dog waste)
Motorhome access : Reverse parking recommended for small vans. Complex maneuver for larger vehicles. Dirt path with potholes; possible wet ground. Sufficient width at some points (bridge). Not suitable for long caravans.
