The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Beachfront parking near a sailing school with public toilets and beach shower. Small playground nearby, Dune du Pyla 5 km away by bike. Parking split between short-vehicle lot and adjacent street for larger camper vans. Free. Main drawback: significant noise at night from traffic and nearby nightlife venue.
Highlights
- Direct beach access with views over the gulf
- Public toilets and showers available
- Small park with playground for kids
- Free, close to shops and restaurants
Good to know
- Significant nighttime noise (traffic, nearby bar/club)
- Limited pitches for motorhomes over 6 m
- Main parking area unsuitable for long vehicles.
Motorhome access : Access possible but restricted: short spots in the main parking (max 6-7 m); longer camping cars must use the adjacent street, less practical and noisy. Tricky maneuvers on the spur.
