The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Free parking along the Allier river near the (closed) water sports base. Flat stabilized ground with picnic tables and barbecue. Western access only via D783 and Paulhat road (narrow, not recommended for trucks via town centre). Variable atmosphere: quiet during school term but nocturnal traffic and mosquitoes possible. Decent stopover spot.
