The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Small free service area with abundant shade, calm most of the time. Well-maintained gravel ground, flat. Walking distance to a charming village with shops (bakery, groceries, café). Children's play area on site. Church bells may disturb light sleepers. Mobile network coverage unreliable. Note: muddy after rain; Monday market mornings fill the parking until noon.
Highlights
- Free parking, spacious and very shaded
- Mostly quiet, ideal for families with children
- A nearby village just a 5-minute walk away with shops and a great atmosphere
- Well-maintained and level site
Good to know
- Mobile signal very weak or nonexistent (all carriers)
- Muddy after rain; service area sometimes dirty
- Monday morning (market day): cars flood in, parking lots jammed
- Bell tower rings on the hour/quarter-hour at night; tree branch touches large motorhomes
Motorhome access : Flat gravel terrain, fairly spacious. Watch for low-hanging tree branches that may scrape high motorhome roofs (height limit depends on the spot). Access via Périgueux road, small rural roads to get there. Slight slope reported by some.
