The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Historic Camping-Car Park aire on the Tarn river bank, 1 km from Gaillac town centre. Large pitches separated by hedges, with electricity and services (water, power, Wi-Fi). Very quiet natural setting near shops and vineyards. Major drawback: chronic poor maintenance (overgrown vegetation, brambles, full bins, surrounding odours). Steep and narrow access. Best suited for short overnight stops when site condition permits.
Highlights
- Spacious pitches well screened by greenery
- Very quiet, close to nature and the Tarn River
- Convenient location: 1-2 km from town center and shops

Good to know
- Very poor maintenance: tall hedges, overgrown brambles, unmown grass
- Bins rarely/mal emptied, overall neglected state

- Unpleasant smells from nearby composting
Motorhome access : Very steep and narrow entrance, difficult to navigate side by side. Tricky maneuvers. Risk of scratches from overgrown vegetation on the sides and overhanging shelters.
