The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Riverside area next to a medieval village, 300 m away, scenic setting with hiking and dining options. Full services (water, electricity, waste disposal). CCP access €5 lifetime. Nearby attractions: gardens, Cahors wine estates. Drawbacks: persistent dam noise, grassy terrain prone to mud in wet weather, some spots near busy roads.
Highlights
- Idyllic setting by the Lot River, very shaded
- Lovely typical village just a stone’s throw away
- Large, clearly marked spacious pitches
- Diverse hikes and water activities nearby
Good to know
- Overwhelming and constant noise from the dam, especially at night
- Very slippery and muddy grassy area in rain, high risk of getting stuck
- Cars passing by and a noisy road depending on the spot
- Early winter closure (November), limited shade in summer
Motorhome access : Mostly grassy area with a narrow entrance and separation posts to respect. Maneuvering tricky; heavy vans (>2.8 t) risk getting stuck in wet conditions. Possible paved area on internal road for small groups. Enter via parking near the giant wine bottle landmark.
