The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Free natural air beside the canal, renovated in 2025 after storm damage. Peaceful overnight parking with toilets, showers, picnic tables and electric hookup (€3/4h). Water and electricity available via card payment. Ground can be muddy after rain. Good starting point for hiking and cycling along the canal. Warm municipal welcome.
Highlights
- Very calm and peaceful atmosphere by the canal

Good to know
- Sloping and muddy terrain after rain, risk of getting stuck.
- No shade (trees cut down in a storm, slow regrowth)

Motorhome access : Access possible but natural grassy terrain with a slope and tendency to become boggy after rain. Avoid when wet unless you have a 4x4.
