The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Riverside campsite on the Moselle near Liverdun. Large, open pitches freely allocated. Clean facilities, though showers occasionally disappointing. Small pool, restaurant, bakery. Good cycling access to Nancy and Toul. Constant through-traffic of transit travellers. Nearby railway (silent at night). Better suited as a stopover than extended stay.
Highlights
- Perfect location by the Moselle River with lovely walks
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Toilets generally clean, two modern blocks
- Great cycling route to Nancy, Toul, and Liverdun
Good to know
- Constant hustle and bustle, little tranquility in peak season
- Dense layout with little privacy and poorly defined boundaries
- Untrimmed tree branches, risk of scraping high vehicles
- Showers: low flow, lukewarm water, inconsistent heating; water tap sometimes out of order
Motorhome access : Grassy terrain with easy access; soft ground in bad weather, some motorhomes struggled to exit. Free maneuvering, no notable confinement.
