The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Large lakeside camping (42 hectares) directly on the Saône river with supervised bathing, aquapark, beach-ball and various leisure activities. Spacious, shaded pitches. Professional reception. On-site bakery. Sanitary facilities generally clean. Major drawback: frequent daytime trains (every 5-10 min, loud) though less disruptive at night. WiFi is paid. Higher pricing (€30-35 for 2 adults in peak season).
Highlights
- Well-maintained lake with lifeguard and a variety of water activities (aquapark, pedal boats, kayaks)
- Spacious, well-defined pitches, many of them shaded
- Warm welcome with personalized service (pastry orders available).
- Great for families with kids (play park, secure area)
Good to know
- Very frequent daytime train noise (disturbing for some, tolerable at night)
- WiFi is paid despite being advertised as a free service
- Restrooms lack hand towels and soap; cleanliness varies by season
- Expensive for grassy pitches ('fields') and tricky access for long motorhomes on some spots
Motorhome access : Overall good with spacious pitches. Some spots tricky for very long vehicles. Easy maneuvering. Grass terrain, slippery after rain.
