The Camper’s take
Updated June 2026
Coastal campsite 20 minutes from Belgium and Channel Tunnel. Direct beach access through dunes, spacious pitches with water and electricity. Aging but clean facilities; shower card system (€10 deposit). Good stopover for ferry crossings. Budget-friendly outside peak season (€20-30). Friendly staff overall. Some pitches situated between permanent mobile homes; basic grey water disposal system.
Highlights
- Direct access to the beach and attractive seaside setting
- Spacious pitches with individual water and electricity hookups
- Affordable rates, great value for money off-season
- Reception is generally nice and laid-back
Good to know
- Outdated restrooms with an impractical shower system (10-minute limit, no temperature adjustment)
- Basic grey water disposal poorly positioned (difficult for long motorhomes)
- Many fixed bungalows limit available pitches and the campervan vibe
- Patchy upkeep of plots and access, sometimes damaged by bad weather
Motorhome access : Access possible but tricky maneuvering between fixed bungalows. Spaces unevenly maintained (risk of ruts). Some report difficulty accessing the dumping area for long camping cars (7.5m+).
